What is Free Comic Book Day?
Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is the biggest event in the comic book industry—a single day when participating comic book specialty shops around the world give away specially made Free Comic Day Books for free to anyone who comes into their shops! Founded on the belief that for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love, the annual event offers a huge selection of free titles designed to appeal to a broad range of age levels and their tastes.
Free Comic Book Day is the perfect opportunity to introduce family and friends to the coolness of comics. From super-heroes & science fiction to action/adventure & manga, FCBD offers something for everyone! All you have to do is come into your local comic shop – Collector Zone Comics & Collectables at Shop 3/21 Pensacola Terrace Clarkson, & grab 3 free comics from the selection available.
When is Free Comic Book Day?
Every year, on the first Saturday in May. This year that means May the 4th (it’s also Star Wars Day!) Collector Zone Comics & Collectables has been proudly hosting Free Comic Book Day for 10 years , for our local comic book fans!
Collector Zone is open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday the 4th of May for Free Comic Book Day, so get there early to get a good spot in line!

On Free Comic Book Day, the industry comes together encourage both curious, first-time comic book readers and seasoned comic book fans to flock to the best place in the comic book community: your local comic shop.
In Perth, Collector Zone! Comics & Collectables is something of a hidden gem, tucked away around the corner from Ocean Keys Shopping Centre, carrying a full line of comics, graphic novels, toys and related products.
Local comic shops are the hubs of this community, where fans can come together to discover new comics, make lifelong friends, and find a sense of commonality, and Collector Zone Comics & Collectables is no different!
This year, Collector Zone is promoting Australian comics with a table dedicated to Aussie-created comics for purchase to support the local comic industry!
